How To Get Airplay on KXPB

Do you want your music to be played on KXPB?  KXPB is different than other radio stations.  We have a staff of DJ’s throughout the week but ‘Auto’ plays the most music 24 hours a day when a live person is not at the studio.

KXPB wants to help musicians and artists that are looking to expand their audience.  That doesn’t mean we’ll play you just to play you; that doesn’t benefit anyone.  There is a bar, if we like your music we will offer you a chance to have your music heard on the air and let our listeners decide if your music should be added to Auto’s KXPB playlist.

Our mission is to find music that we like and our listeners enjoy hearing.  If your music gets selected to be added to Auto’s KXPB playlist we will also include a link on this page to your webpage.

You’ve worked hard on your music and the world should have the chance to hear it.

In order to participate please send us an email with your name and a brief description about yourself and your music.  Additionally, a link to your music is required.  If you have no link for your music we will accept an mp3 file via email.

If we like your music the next step will be to contact you and set a time to come to the KXPB studio and present your music live on the air.  This will occur no more than once a month on Fridays between 4-6 on the Uncle Thom and Aunt Kandi show.

Please send your email to kxpbradio@gmail.com and put ‘Artist Submission’ in the subject line.

Remember to have fun and keep listening to KXPB

Artists

On Friday September 6 2024 Raegan Leilani was the first artist to participate in the KXPB Airplay initiative. It was well received by our listeners and we will be adding her music to our library and including a couple of her songs in the KXPB auto playlist.

Raegan Leilani is a dynamic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, blending Neo-jazz and alt-pop with a diverse range of musical influences. She has been writing music since 2016 and began recording and producing in 2022, following a short recording apprenticeship with Pierre Ferguson of Foundry Studios. Raegan continues to record her music alongside Pierre and his expertise, creating a sound that is both unique and reflective of her personal journey.

Raegan’s classical background—having played clarinet in high school and middle school band for seven years—has deeply influenced how she leads her band today. “Band was one of the best experiences of my life and definitely informed how I run my band,” she says. Her bandmates, Robert Keene and Craig Cootsona, are crucial to bringing her vision to life. Robert, a versatile keys and bass player, lends his genre-bending expertise, while Craig, a highly sought-after jazz and funk drummer, provides the rhythmic backbone that drives their sound.

Raegan’s music captivates audiences with its smooth, jazz-tinged vocals and evocative melodies, transporting listeners to nostalgic places and emotions. Her unique soundscape is a deeply personal exploration of memories and feelings, offering an unforgettable musical experience!
